Growth is our goal at handl Group, so it’s great to be recognised as one of the fastest growing businesses in the North West this year.

At the prestigious Ward Hadaway North West Fastest 50 Awards, hosted at the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, we ranked 35th on the list of our region’s fifty fastest growing businesses – thanks to the hard work all of the companies in our group have put in.

What is the Ward Hadaway Fastest 50 Awards?

Based on financial data filed with Companies House, the list ranks the fifty best performing companies which have consistently increased turnover over the past three financial years, while still remaining profitable.

Entry is only open to private companies operating in the region with a turnover in excess of £1m, a positive pre-tax profit, and an increase in turnover over the past three years.

Paul Johnson, a partner in the corporate team at Ward Hadaway’s Manchester office, said, “We are delighted to recognise handl Group as one of the fastest growing companies in the North West. Their impressive growth and sustained profitability over the past three years is a clear indication of their innovation and hard work. We congratulate them on their success and look forward to seeing their continued achievements.

“This year’s awards highlight the ingenuity and adaptability of businesses in the North West, showcasing how companies like handl Group have not only navigated challenges but also thrived. The Ward Hadaway North West Fastest 50 Awards aim to inspire and encourage other businesses in the region to strive for similar excellence and growth.”

Group CFO Ian Robins and CSO Dan Franklin were in attendance at the awards, and view handl’s ranking as proof that we’re moving in the right direction as a group. Dan explains:

“I’d say we’ve done remarkably well. There are lots of successful companies in the region, and it’s great to be included on a list like this. When you consider growth in a ranking like this is judged in percentage terms, a larger company has to add a significant amount of additional turnover to be able to compete with growth rates of smaller companies. So to be ranked in the top 50 overall, and as one of the top 20 large businesses, is a real testament to the work we’re doing.”

With ambitious growth targets for the years ahead, we’re hoping to feature on the list again in the near future.
