A key part of handl Group’s expert witness and assessment services division, Advanced Social Care Services (ASCS) is the authoritative voice in child and adult social work. But that status cannot be achieved without continual innovation.
That’s why the company has unveiled a new suite of services – Advanced Plus – focused on bringing together a selection of the comprehensive social care, observations, and teaching services that they provide for children and families. It’s all about promoting stability and well-being for the people who need it the most.
Learn more about Advanced Plus
Advanced Plus is the latest example of a member of handl Group innovating to offer more to clients, adding to ASCS’ already diverse range of services and propositions. Supporting children and adults alike, Advanced Plus will comprise five specialist services:
Independent social workers and parenting practitioners provide round-the-clock support and monitoring to observe and guide families, help parents, and provide comprehensive, richly detailed court evidence reports. This programme is entirely flexible. Where not all families require observations to the full extent, contact hours can be reduced resulting in community-based supervision.
The SNAP Programme uses 15 easy-read, parent-centered, one-to-one teaching sessions to help parents improve their skills and confidence. Focusing on visual learning, SNAP is especially useful to parents who struggle with verbal or written learning methods.
A targeted, personalised initiative, the TOP programme is tailored to help parents develop skills to meet their child’s needs. After an initial assessment, TOP allows experts to provide parents with the support and training needed to care for their children.
Suppose a family doesn’t need round-the-clock supervision, but a court still needs to gather evidence. In that case, Contact Supervision is an alternative to the 24/7 Home Programme,
where professionals have the opportunity to observe family dynamics and help parents develop their skills.
Finally, the Advanced Plus Outreach service helps families navigate temporary crises and safeguarding concerns by delivering in-hospital and community-based support that reduces risks, improves child safety, and helps foster a positive family atmosphere.
As with all of ASCS’ services, Advanced Plus will be delivered by a team of experts focused on providing the highest-quality care and support while safeguarding families and providing courts with expert reports and information.
Advanced Plus isn’t the only development ASCS has launched in recent weeks. Their new suite of psychology services can now provide expert support and tailored evaluations in the form of four assessment types:
● Risk and need assessments
● Full psychological assessments
● Cognitive assessments
● Risk assessments
These expert evaluations, delivered by professionals, will support family courts, child proceedings, and adult social care cases, giving ASCS – and handl Group as a whole – a wider umbrella of services to support the social care sector.
