At handl Group, we believe every child deserves to feel the magic of Christmas. That’s why teams across our group are supporting Mission Christmas, making sure that children have a gift to open on Christmas morning – especially if they’d otherwise go without.
Mission Christmas is a charity initiative, run by Cash for Kids, that ensures children in poverty receive presents on Christmas morning.
It works by collecting new, unwrapped gifts and cash donations from volunteers and distributing them to disadvantaged children across the UK through schools, local charities, and social workers.

It can be difficult deciding what to buy for kids you’ve never met. So if you’re in need of some inspiration, here are a few ideas to get you started:
Ages 0–3 years: Sensory toys, books, building blocks, bibs, teething rings
Ages 3–5 years: Dolls, cars, scooters, learning toys, puzzles
Ages 5–7 years: Colouring books, crayons, jigsaws, art and craft kits
Ages 7–9 years: LEGO, remote control toys, footballs, science kits, pencil cases
Ages 9–12 years: Board games, hats, scarves and gloves, fidget toys
Ages 12–15 years: Hot water bottles, blankets, pyjamas, rucksacks, stationery
Ages 15–18 years: Make-up, headphones, speakers, books
When we think of kids on Christmas morning, we usually think of younger children unwrapping a new toy, instead of a teenager unwrapping a much-deserved gift.
Last year, the older age groups received fewer donations, so if you can, please consider picking up something for a teenager. A pair of headphones, a good book, or even a cosy blanket could make all the difference to someone who’s often overlooked.
