We’ve Got the Key Go Green for Macmillan Cancer

As one of the newest additions to the handl Group family, nationwide auto locksmiths We’ve Got the Key aren’t taking too long to get into the swing of life here at the group. Back in December, we took a look at how our brands were supporting charities over the festive period, but the team at WGTK think that giving back isn’t just for Christmas.

February 4th is World Cancer Day, and Macmillan Cancer Support run a “Wear it Green for World Cancer” day to raise much needed funds for their charity, which does whatever it takes to support people living with cancer.

To mark the occasion, the WGTK team donned their best green clothes and dug deep to donate to this very worthy cause.

Each member of the team contributed to the company’s fundraising efforts, and office manager Bianca Mortimer was delighted with the results.

“We raised the princely sum of £63.50 for Macmillan, which isn’t bad at all for our very first fundraising attempt.”

With cancer very much in the news cycle at the moment, and over 2.1 people asking Macmillan for help each year, every penny raised for this worthy cause really can make a difference to people’s lives.

If you’d like to follow We’ve Got the Key’s example and make a donation to Macmillan Cancer Support, head over to their website or text MOBILE to 70550 to make an immediate £5 donation.
