Coplus appoints new Business Director for Cobalt

In October 2019, our focus on innovating within our industries continued when Coplus unveiled Cobalt, its latest development in motor claims management.

Kicking off the new year right, we’re delighted to announce an exciting new hire within the Group, with the appointment of former UK Business Director for GT Motive, Richard Taylor, as Business Director at Cobalt.

For Cobalt - a brand that’s leading the re-engineering of motor claims management - Richard is a natural fit, bringing a wealth of industry expertise and contacts, with over 30 years’ unrivalled experience across both the claims and crash repair tech sectors.

Richard joins Cobalt following a 20 year tenure at Aviva across several roles - including claims supply chain and relationship management - followed by senior leadership and Director-level roles at Audatex, Euro Car Parts and most recently, successfully launched Madrid-headquartered GT Motive into the UK market.

In this newly formed role, Richard will be responsible for leading all of Cobalt’s services, from FNOL, Repair Deployment and Accident Damage Management to Total Loss Management, Third Party Capture and Non-Fault claims.

“I’m thrilled to be joining Cobalt at this really exciting phase of its evolution,” said Richard Taylor, Business Director of Cobalt. “Being asked to run the new Cobalt business is a privilege. It’s a unique proposition that the Cobalt solution is offering and It’s really going to revolutionise the way in which the insurance market is supported. I’m looking forward to working closely with other leading companies within this market and bringing together some really clever solutions.”

Jason Tripp, Managing Director of Coplus, said, “I’m delighted to welcome Richard to Cobalt. His experience in claims supply chains and crash repair technology is key to helping us bring new partners on board. Cobalt is motor claims technology, working with our people, to drive cost efficiency and better service. Richard will be leading our continuous innovation and establishing Cobalt as a real challenger in the motor claims management market.”
